Integrity, transparency, and trust form the bedrock of verified commerce on ElloPages.

ElloPages Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: October 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the ElloPages website, mobile application, business listing services, verification services, subscription packages, advertising services, business claiming facilities, and all associated services offered by ElloPages.

By registering, creating or claiming a listing, uploading business information, purchasing a package, making payment, or otherwise using ElloPages, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Important Business Claim Declaration

Legitimate Ownership Declaration

By claiming a business listing, you expressly declare, represent, and warrant that:

  • You are the lawful owner of the business; or
  • You are a director, partner, proprietor, employee, manager, agency, representative, or other person legally authorized by the actual business owner to manage the listing;
  • All information and documents submitted by you are genuine, accurate, current, and legally valid;
  • You have the legal authority to use the business name, trademarks, logos, photographs, addresses, contact details, licences, tax information, and other materials submitted to ElloPages.

ElloPages may require additional evidence of ownership or authorization at any time.

Strict Non-Refund Policy for False or Fraudulent Claims

Any payment made in connection with claiming, verifying, onboarding, promoting, advertising, upgrading, or subscribing to a business listing shall be NON-REFUNDABLE where ElloPages determines that the user:

  • Provided false, fabricated, misleading, incomplete, manipulated, or fraudulent business information;
  • Submitted fake, forged, altered, expired, stolen, or unauthorized documents;
  • Falsely claimed ownership or authorization over a business;
  • Claimed another person’s or entity’s business without authorization;
  • Impersonated an owner, director, employee, representative, or authorized person;
  • Used another person’s GST details, PAN details, licences, registration numbers, identity documents, trademarks, photographs, phone numbers, email addresses, or other information without authorization;
  • Created or claimed a fictitious or non-existent business;
  • Attempted to obtain verification through deception or misrepresentation; or
  • Violated these Terms while purchasing or using a paid package.

In such cases, ElloPages may immediately reject, suspend, revoke, permanently remove, or transfer the listing without providing any refund, reimbursement, credit, or compensation. This restriction applies even if part of the subscription period remains unused.

Ownership Disputes

If another person or entity claims to be the legitimate owner of a business, ElloPages may:

  • Temporarily suspend the disputed listing;
  • Remove verification status;
  • Restrict editing rights;
  • Request additional documents from either party;
  • Contact the business through publicly available or independently verified contact information;
  • Reject documents that cannot be independently verified;
  • Transfer control of the listing to the party reasonably established as the legitimate owner; or
  • Permanently remove the listing where ownership cannot reasonably be established.

Payment by itself does not establish ownership of a business. A person does not acquire ownership or permanent control of a listing merely because they paid for a subscription or claimed the listing first. If a claim is revoked because the claimant supplied false, unauthorized, fraudulent, or misleading information, fees paid by that claimant will not be refunded.

1

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing ElloPages, registering an account, submitting a business, claiming a business, purchasing a subscription, requesting verification, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not register, submit information, claim a business, or purchase a paid service.
2

Eligibility

Users must:
  • Have legal capacity to enter into an agreement;
  • Provide truthful registration information;
  • Use ElloPages only for lawful purposes; and
  • Possess the necessary authority before acting on behalf of any business.
ElloPages may refuse registration or access where eligibility cannot reasonably be established.
3

Account Registration

You are responsible for:
  • Providing correct account information;
  • Maintaining accurate contact details;
  • Protecting your password, OTP, and login credentials;
  • Preventing unauthorized access to your account; and
  • Immediately notifying ElloPages of suspected unauthorized access.
Activities performed through your account may be treated as activities authorized by you unless ElloPages determines otherwise.
4

Business Registration

Business owners and authorized representatives must provide accurate and current information, including where applicable:
  • Business name, category, address, and contact information;
  • Working hours, services, products, website, and social media links;
  • Registration information, licence information, and tax information;
  • Photographs, logos, and ownership details.
Submitting a listing does not guarantee publication, verification, approval, ranking, or continued availability on ElloPages.
5

Business Verification

ElloPages may request documents including GST registration, PAN, business registration certificates, incorporation documents, partnership documents, trade licences, shop establishment registrations, utility bills, business bank documents, authorization letters, identity documents, or other information reasonably required to establish authenticity. Providing documents does not automatically entitle a business to verification. ElloPages may approve, reject, suspend, withdraw, or re-review verification where reasonable grounds exist.
6

Verification Badge

A verification badge indicates that ElloPages has completed certain verification procedures. A verification badge does not constitute:
  • A government certification;
  • A guarantee of business quality or financial stability;
  • A guarantee of legality of every business activity;
  • A recommendation by ElloPages; or
  • A guarantee that the business will perform any transaction satisfactorily.
7

Business Claiming

Before claiming a listing, the claimant must have lawful ownership or authorization. ElloPages may verify ownership through OTP, telephone, email, documents, business registrations, official records, physical verification, video verification, or another reasonable method. Successful payment does not guarantee approval of a business claim.
8

False Business Claims

Attempting to claim a business without authorization constitutes a serious violation of these Terms. ElloPages may immediately reject the claim, suspend the claimant’s account, revoke existing listings, permanently blacklist associated accounts, preserve relevant records, notify the legitimate business owner, cooperate with lawful investigations, and initiate or assist appropriate legal proceedings where necessary. Payments associated with fraudulent or unauthorized claims are non-refundable, except where applicable law expressly requires otherwise.
9

Forged or Manipulated Documents

Users must not submit fake certificates, edited GST certificates, manipulated licences, forged authorization letters, falsified identity documents, stolen documents, altered invoices, fabricated ownership records, or documents belonging to unrelated persons or businesses. Submission of suspicious documents may result in immediate verification failure, suspension, permanent termination, and preservation of relevant records.
10

Duplicate Listings

ElloPages may merge, remove, suspend, or consolidate duplicate listings. Where two or more users claim the same business, ElloPages may determine control based on reasonably verifiable evidence. Payment for a duplicate or fraudulent listing does not guarantee continued publication.
11

Subscription Packages

Paid packages may provide features such as enhanced listings, higher visibility, premium placement, verification features, additional photographs, leads, analytics, promotional features, or other benefits described at the time of purchase. Features may differ by package and subscription period. Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, purchase of a package does not guarantee any minimum number of views, calls, enquiries, leads, customers, sales, revenue, or search position.
12

Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways such as Razorpay or other approved providers. Users authorize the applicable payment provider to process amounts displayed at checkout. ElloPages does not store complete card or banking credentials where those details are processed directly by the payment provider. Users are responsible for applicable taxes, charges, and fees disclosed at checkout.
13

Non-Refundable Fees

Unless otherwise expressly stated by ElloPages or required by applicable law, fees for activated subscription packages, business verification, premium listings, advertising, promotional placement, onboarding, business claiming, featured listings, and other digital services are non-refundable after activation or commencement of service.

No refund will be provided merely because the user changed their mind, did not receive the expected number of leads or sales, did not fully use the package, stopped operating the business, failed to maintain updated information, or failed to use available package features.
14

Fraud-Related Refund Exclusion

Where an account, listing, subscription, or verification is cancelled because the user supplied fake, misleading, stolen, manipulated, fraudulent, unauthorized, or materially inaccurate information, the user shall not be entitled to a refund, credit, extension, compensation, or transfer of remaining subscription benefits, subject to mandatory applicable law. This provision applies regardless of how quickly the fraud is detected after payment.
Illustrations:
Example 1: A user pays ₹5,000 to claim Restaurant ABC but cannot establish any authorization from Restaurant ABC. The claim may be revoked and the payment will not be refunded.
Example 2: A user purchases a yearly verified package using an altered GST certificate. If ElloPages later discovers the manipulation, the listing may be permanently removed and the unused portion of the subscription will not be refunded.
15

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Users must not initiate dishonest, fraudulent, or misleading payment disputes or chargebacks after receiving ElloPages services. Where a chargeback is initiated, ElloPages may provide the payment processor with relevant transaction records, account records, acceptance records, login records, verification records, subscription activation records, communications, and other evidence reasonably necessary to respond to the dispute. A fraudulent chargeback may result in account suspension or termination.
16

Manager and On-Behalf Onboarding

ElloPages employees, agents, field executives, or authorized managers may assist businesses with registration or onboarding. The business owner remains responsible for checking the information submitted on their behalf. A business must promptly report inaccurate information. Assistance from an ElloPages representative does not remove the user’s responsibility to provide truthful information and valid authorization.
17

Coupons and Referral Codes

Coupons, manager codes, promotional codes, and referral codes may have expiry dates, may be limited to particular packages, may have minimum purchase requirements, cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash, and may not be combined unless expressly permitted. Fraudulent use of promotional codes may result in cancellation of the discount or associated account.
18

Prohibited Businesses

ElloPages may refuse or remove businesses involved in illegal, restricted, deceptive, dangerous, fraudulent, or prohibited activities. A listing appearing on ElloPages does not mean that ElloPages has independently confirmed that every activity performed by that business is lawful.
19

Prohibited Content

Users must not publish content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, abusive, obscene, hateful, misleading, counterfeit, copyright-infringing, trademark-infringing, privacy-infringing, malicious, deceptive, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
20

Intellectual Property Rights

Users retain ownership of materials they lawfully own. By uploading business content to ElloPages, the user grants ElloPages a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, resize, format, display, distribute, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the listing and ElloPages services. Users must have permission to upload all submitted logos, photographs, videos, trademarks, and descriptions.
21

Intellectual Property Complaints

A rights holder may report content that allegedly infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. ElloPages may temporarily restrict or remove disputed content while investigating a complaint. Repeated infringement may result in account or listing termination.
22

Reviews and Ratings

Reviews and ratings represent the opinions of individual users and do not necessarily represent ElloPages. Businesses may not purchase fake reviews, create reviews about themselves using fake accounts, threaten users to remove legitimate reviews, offer unlawful incentives for deceptive reviews, or manipulate rating systems. ElloPages may investigate and remove reviews reasonably believed to violate platform policies or applicable law.
23

Ranking and Visibility

Search results, recommendations, featured listings, and business ranking depend on multiple factors including search relevance, location, category, listing completeness, verification, user engagement, ratings, and package features. Except where expressly stated, ElloPages does not guarantee a specific ranking or position.
24

User-Generated Content

Users are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and rights associated with content they upload. ElloPages may moderate, restrict, investigate, or remove content where reasonably necessary for platform safety, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.
25

Third-Party Businesses

ElloPages primarily acts as a business discovery and listing platform. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ElloPages is not the seller, manufacturer, service provider, employer, agent, partner, or representative of businesses listed on the platform. Transactions between customers and businesses are entered into directly between those parties.
26

Third-Party Services and Links

Listings may contain links to merchant websites, social media, maps, payment providers, booking providers, or other external services. ElloPages is not responsible for the availability, security, terms, privacy practices, or content of independent third-party services.
27

Business Responsibility

Each listed business remains responsible for its products, services, pricing, availability, licences, regulatory approvals, customer service, warranties, taxes, invoices, refund obligations to its customers, advertising claims, and compliance with applicable law.
28

No Commercial Guarantee

ElloPages does not guarantee that a listing will generate leads, phone calls, website visits, orders, appointments, customers, revenue, profit, or any specific commercial outcome. Advertising or visibility packages provide promotional services, not guaranteed commercial results.
29

Listing Modification

ElloPages may request correction of inaccurate or misleading listing information. ElloPages may format or standardize listing data for consistency without changing its material meaning. Material business information should not be intentionally altered to misrepresent the business.
30

Suspension and Termination

ElloPages may suspend, restrict, unpublish, or terminate an account or listing where reasonably necessary because of fraud, impersonation, fake documents, ownership disputes, illegal activity, repeated complaints, intellectual property violations, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, security risks, misleading information, or violation of applicable law.
31

Consequences of Termination

Termination may result in loss of account access, removal of listing content, removal of verification, cancellation of promotional features, and restriction on creating additional accounts. Amounts paid in connection with fraudulent conduct shall not be refundable subject to applicable law.
32

Blacklisting and Repeat Offenders

Users involved in serious or repeated fraud may be prevented from creating new listings or accounts. ElloPages may use reasonably necessary account, business, device, contact, verification, and transaction information to identify attempts to circumvent a lawful suspension.
33

Cooperation With Authorities

ElloPages may preserve or disclose information when required by applicable law, court order, lawful governmental request, or other legally valid process. Where legally permitted, ElloPages may cooperate with investigations relating to fraud, impersonation, forged documents, cybersecurity incidents, or other unlawful conduct.
34

Personal Data

ElloPages processes personal information required for account management, business verification, fraud prevention, customer support, payment administration, platform security, communications, and legal compliance in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
35

Communication Consent

By providing an email address or phone number, users agree that ElloPages may send transactional and service-related communications regarding OTPs, verification, listings, payments, renewals, complaints, security, and account administration.
36

Security

Users must not attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, scrape protected information without permission, circumvent security mechanisms, conduct automated attacks, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with platform operation. Serious security violations may be reported to appropriate authorities.
37

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to indemnify and hold ElloPages, its officers, employees, representatives, and affiliates harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, damages, and reasonable legal expenses arising from the user’s fraud, false ownership claim, forged documents, intellectual property infringement, illegal content, misrepresentation, or material breach of these Terms.
38

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ElloPages shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or commercial losses arising solely from reliance on third-party listing information, merchant conduct, business performance, or circumstances outside ElloPages’ reasonable control.
39

Platform Availability

ElloPages does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Services may temporarily become unavailable due to maintenance, server failures, internet failures, cyberattacks, payment gateway failures, cloud-service failures, software updates, or circumstances outside reasonable control.
40

Force Majeure

ElloPages shall not be responsible for delays or failure caused by events reasonably outside its control, including natural disasters, war, civil disturbance, governmental action, telecommunications failures, major cyber incidents, power failures, or similar events.
41

Complaints and Grievances

Users may submit complaints relating to business ownership, incorrect listings, fraud, intellectual property, account access, payments, reviews, or platform services through ElloPages’ designated grievance channel:

42

Business Ownership Complaint Procedure

A person disputing ownership of a listing should provide reasonable evidence of ownership or authorization. ElloPages may compare documents and independently available records before determining listing control. ElloPages is not required to determine complex legal ownership disputes that properly require resolution by a court or competent authority.
43

Changes to Services

ElloPages may modify, discontinue, add, or improve features from time to time. Material changes affecting active paid packages should be handled in accordance with applicable law and any commitments expressly made at the time of purchase.
44

Changes to Terms

ElloPages may update these Terms to reflect legal changes, security requirements, new services, payment changes, operational requirements, or platform-policy changes. Updated Terms will become effective from the date stated in the revised version.
45

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions shall continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.
46

No Waiver

Failure by ElloPages to immediately enforce a provision does not automatically constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or any other right.
47

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with applicable Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, subscription terms, listing policies, and community guidelines constitute the agreement governing use of ElloPages services.
48

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Nothing in these Terms restricts any statutory right or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded by contract.
49

Dispute Resolution

Before commencing formal proceedings, parties should attempt in good faith to resolve disputes through ElloPages’ grievance procedure. Contractual disputes that remain unresolved may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended, conducted by a sole arbitrator in English with venue in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
50

Jurisdiction

Subject to applicable consumer-protection laws and the dispute-resolution provision above, courts having competent jurisdiction at Hyderabad, Telangana, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms.
51

Fraudulent Claim Acknowledgement

Before purchasing a business claim or verification package, the claimant expressly acknowledges:
“I confirm that I am the lawful business owner or have valid authorization from the lawful business owner. I understand that ElloPages may request proof of ownership at any time. If I submit false, forged, misleading, stolen, manipulated, or unauthorized information or documents, ElloPages may immediately reject or permanently revoke my claim, suspend or terminate my account, remove the listing, preserve relevant records, and take appropriate action. Any payment made in connection with such fraudulent or unauthorized claim will not be refunded, credited, transferred, or compensated, except where a refund is mandatorily required by applicable law.”
52
